In 2009, at the height of the Global Financial Crisis, we spotted a change: Companies that had previously secured short-term loans from banks to grow their businesses were replacing them with bonds in order to extend their maturities. Bond and loan bankers who previously ran their businesses independently from each other were working much closer. No one was bringing these two markets together to help facilitate deal flow, so GFC was registered at Companies House and a Bonds & Loans conference was launched. Our aim was to bring together a disjointed and complex market ecosystem to one place at one time to facilitate networking and deal flow progression.

15 years into our journey, promoting connectivity in complex markets in order to support deal progression remains at the core of everything we do. We keep a strong connection to our purpose and is driven by our Founder who remains at the helm of our business as Group CEO.
